yay! I should be sowing my bok choi seeds directly outside in the next week or two, here. As I recall, it does well in cooler weather, like a lot of the other lettuces. I just gotta weed my garden beds now that the weather is warm enough. I went out last week on a sunny day and the ground was partly frozen, so weeding just wasn't going to happen. The weeds are LOVING buddying up with the daylilies in my raised beds and in my bed by the garage. The ones by the garage are the nasty ones with prickers, too, so I'm really not going to love weeding those.
It will be a great excuse to go outside in this gorgeous weather, though! And I'm really excited that the daylilies seem to be popping up like crazy, now. (Not the scapes/blooms, of course, but atleast I can tell that nearly all of my daylilies survived.)
Here are most of my seedlings that I started early.
I have a ton that I intend to direct sow in the next week or two. I also have a few Johnny Jump-ups that surprised me in one of my weedy garden beds. I thought I had pulled them all last year, but either some of the seeds just germinated, or they reseeded before I pulled them:
