As some of you know .. I love dissecting flowers! Since I have two konjac - I didn't hesitate to dissect the smaller one. Here is a close up look at A. konjack - and it looks like I'm going to get some seeds as the berries(?) are swelling and changing color.

I'm always trying to figure out what evolutionary pressures cause some flowers to grow so differently from traditional flowers.

Like picture 2 - What function does the fiberous material play in the hollow pointed tube above the reproductive parts?
