'Venus' is a medium-large hosta, a sport of H. plantaginea 'Aphrodite'. It's green but late in the season it has stupendous white, fragrant flowers of a twice-double form. The petal count is between 24 and 28. Venus resembles night-blooming cactus and fills the late summer and early fall with its fragrant, stunning flowers. I've had it since Spring 2006 and it doesn't always bloom for me. A couple of years ago, it had heaved during the winter and when I lifted it in spring it fell apart; so now I have two divisions. Please feel free to share your pictures of this hosta.

Division 1 Aug. 2

Division 2 Aug. 13 with buds

Division 2 Aug. 31 with flowers (The other division did not bloom in 2015)
