I went out to look for my Coral Magic after the mention of the variety earlier in this string, made me realize I haven't seen it coming up this year. Looked at the pics from last year and sure enough, it was up and budded by this time. Located it and carefully moved the mulch, nothing, so I dug deeper. I found the top of the root and gently brushed away most of the dirt and it seems okay--there are tiny, whitish eyes on it. Maybe it sank and I covered it too much? I recovered with a small amount of dirt but left the mulch off, hopefully I'll get growth even if no flowers. If anything comes up I'll mark it to move for the fall and get it out of the depression it's in now. Hopefully I caught it in time!
