Hmm. The ones in the kitchen sound like they could use a little sun. As to the ones on the deck, as the sun gets higher, they could use some mid day shade. Most of my garden is on the north side of the house, but as summer arrives, I still get that hot sun in the middle of the day. Is there any way you could put some shade cloth of screening above them, or even an umbrella that would allow morning and evening sun? A fan sounds like a good idea anyway.
