Sally, I'm always up for a party... but it might take a little while to get the house in shape for hosting.
I still have a drawer full of seeds from previous swaps, so I won't be buying a lot of plants right off the bat. I do want to pick up a few fruit trees the first year (we have an orchard on the property, but it's all apple, and I want to add a couple other types), but otherwise, I will be building the gardens up slowly. I will definitely be up for plant swaps, especially once I get some things started to pitch in!
Terri, I'm thrilled to be moving into a family home! It was custom built for the grandparents, and has so many nice features and quirks. If it sold on the open market, it was probably going to be demolished because it's an older, smaller home on now-valuable land, so we're saving it.
