Many blossoms change as they mature. I am not aware of any "standard" time to take the pictures. One I grow has such a change that I got an email that I was wrong in my id; then I sent a pic of same plant at 3rd day and presto, now it matched what that person was expecting. When I find that happening I take photos of day 1 and day 3 at least.
