Hi Shannon, Welcome!

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Strawberry Fields Forever') sure is a beauty! I don't grow many DL's but the roots of Daylilies (Hemerocallis) are a lot different than the roots (bulbs) of Lily's (Lilium). I have trouble with bulbs sometimes if they have no roots showing and no visible eye, which is supposed to point up when planting. I can't tell you how many times I've planted Caladium bulbs upside down! Green Grin!

For comparison you can see the difference in the roots of Daylily (Hemerocallis) and Lily (Lillium)
