I hadn't even thought of layering, but that sure sounds like it would work. I've done that with a lot of other plants. I'll give that a try too. I should never have put it in a small greenhouse raised bed! I have to cut it back almost daily. I'd love having it outdoors, but we have deer and rabbits that eat everything planted outside.
