I will look at the ginger tho. I look for things to die back...it may sound crazy but a bare landscape
Makes spring more fun
Makes it easier to blow leaves in autumn
Makes it easier to rake and mulch in spring
Limits snow and ice damage and clean up
Let's me locate and view the things I've planted 'Like they are brand new'
Allows me to order what I don't need or have room for because the better half "can see that there is nothin " in the ground and I fool myself into thinking there is a great deal of free space!

Oh yes, give me things that not only sleep but retreat come winter.
Don't squat with yer spurs on!

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved
