I'm going to take a guess that you might be in Arkansas? (It would be helpful if you would add your location to your profile information, which can be found by clicking on the little "person" icon at the top of the blue sidebar on the left side of the screen.)

At any rate, corn germinates best when the soil has warmed to about 60°F, and can rot and not germinate at all if the soil is cold and wet. If you have any seed left you could try germinating some of the kernels in a damp paper towel in a plastic baggie -- if they don't sprout that way, the seed is probably not viable.
