Iv'e been gardening for more years than I care to remember, and when people say isn't nature wonderful I say no it's not. There is always something trying to eat or destroy your garden. When you get on top of what it is, then something else comes along to take it's place. Gardening has always been a battle against nature and always will be and we must accept that. Many times I have been tempted to pack it all in, but then someone will visit and say, what a beautiful garden, and when you look, it really is, and away I go again. Try doing what I do. Open your garden for charity, and when dozens of visitors praise your work you will go on till the day you die. (Even though you will have a swear now and then
