Shannon said: It's not spider mites it was Fur Whistling Her caudex is pretty firm but, the branches are not . She is now getting full sun everyday once it warms up and she has a spot right by the slider that gets sun in the morning nice & bright . That is where she spent the winter and also moved around the house following the sun as we just moved in Sept so I am still learning the sun here. She is in a fast draining mix I purchased at a plant show for adeniums , I do water her lightly making sure she gets dry I have fed her

Shannon, when you water it would be good to thoroughly drench the soil until you see water coming out of the bottom of the pot. I don't know if there is an accumulation of salts and mineral deposits in your soil...this could result in soft stems...occasionally flushing out the soil with filtered water will help remove salt accumulations in the pot. "High concentrations of salt in the soil cause water flow to actually reverse direction (because of osmotic potential), in effect the water and dissolved minerals in the roots of the plants move out of the plant and into the soil - instead of the other way around."

Once your weather is consistently warm I would leave her outside in a spot that gets the most sunshine where you don't have to move her around. Glad there are no spider mites, but I had to Rolling on the floor laughing when I read "fur." I have some adeniums with leaves that feel like soft fur. Then remembered you have collie's, Liam and Seamus. Rolling on the floor laughing They are so adorable! Lovey dubby

Edited.
