Sally, when the Datura seed pod is about to burst I cut them off and save in brown paper bag. In fall after the first frost, I cut all my Datura plants to the ground and throw out the seed pods where ever I want them to grow and they come back the following year. I put the pods in containers and in a bed covered with rock. They seem to prefer a location with morning sun and late afternoon shade. First blooms arrived 07-27-11.
