The key for me is do not start by seed. They hate to be transplanted and in my case never make it. Just throw seed in fall wherever you want them to grow and you will start seeing seedlings around June. They are evening bloomers so they are very enjoyable for people who are gone all day and can only find time to work or sit in the garden at night.
