I agree all. It was an odd winter, seemingly an early spring, then we had that freak cold snap that was unusually cold. We have a hardy PJM rhodie...very old but very reliable & only the bottom 2 feet of it bloomed. The rest of the buds seem to have been zapped.

Thanks all also for your comments about my bouquet! I try to remember to take flowers into my office every week. I haven't done it yet this spring, but hopefully I will get around to it.

@luvsgrtdanes: That's a great photo of the warbler. I am impressed that you caught it so clearly. Is Winston the dog in your avatar photo?

@Meredith79, you must live near the coast? To have sandy soil?
