I've been finding scapes since the end of April mostly on species and their seedlings. These have become pretty hopelessly mixed in my woods. I live in central New York just South of Lake Ontario so it's difficult to find daylily bloom earlier than June. When I was crossing them (I'm increasingly unable to get much done and my Dr says I've sprained thoracic and lumbar ligaments--again and I am again a bit high on muscle relaxants and pain med) I manage to get out and hunt for scapes though and there are now more than I can count.mostly species, H nana, H minor, middendorfs, lemon lily, Orangeman, and some seedlings I grew years ago. I'll try to post ssome old photos (probably repeats) from other years----meanwhile I'm just waiting-it will be the end of the month before this years bloom!
