I am between Caroline and you. But then I started my vegies in the garage greenhouse and then put them in the raised beds covered with poly. I actually put four bean plants that were about 6" tall out in one of the beds and kept covered to protect from the sun. They are doing okay. Carrots that I sowed a couple of weeks ago are germinating in 12x24" pots. As soon as the dahlias are hardened off (about five more days in the raised beds) then out go the vegies. Then annuals. It almost makes up for the disaster my yard/garden has become as I cannot work out in it now. Horsetail is springing up everywhere threatening to take over everything. I am sooooo tempted to just take brush killer to the entire yard.
