A second seedling has bloomed. I think this might be a reasonable result from the cross which is recorded as 'Dizzy Damselfly X French Twist'. Just barely a hint of canoeing on a couple of the petals from the pod parent; color, some curls and larger bloom from the pollen parent. I'm assuming it wasn't contaminated by an insect here. Sorry about the hand, but something broke two segments. No wind today, so I'm guessing a bird landed on it. Needed to have had the camera with me when I looked at it earlier.
Down toward the bottom of the 2nd photo you can see where a second branch is in the process of aborting. Is that something that might go ahead and develop in future years?
