NO! And that's the best part. We already had DirecTV. And now they have a guarantee on price for 2 full years AND they give you a 14 day buyer's remorse on the Uverse so if you don't like it, you don't have to pay any silly fees for canceling but I didn't even have to wait the full 14 days to know & I canceled my WiFi device which was costing me $80 mo.
NOW Ginger, MAKE SURE when you call them to get no fees for anything!!!!!!! Write down who you spoke to & ask them to confirm in an email. No equipment fee, no hookup fee, no NUTHIN! Still, when I got a run down email from them of my "predicted" bill, they had that d&%n $49 activation fee on there. Well, I got my little self on the phone to them as soon as I saw that & they didn't even hesitate to remove that. I think they just figure most people don't read their bills & if they miss it then ATT wins but if you call they don't give you any guff about removing it. PLUS I get $100 prepaid Visa card after 30 or 45 days or whatever.
