I bought this plant as a potted single fan at a local nursery in the summer of 2014. It has wintered two winters in my northern garden, and survived. It has not bloomed for me, however, it is not in the sunniest of locations. We have limbed the trees up in that area, and it is getting more sun now. If it doesn't bloom this summer, I am going to move it out into a sunnier part of the property. I just checked it, and it has three fans now, so isn't increasing quickly for me here. It has survived, though, and the winter of 2014-15 was extremely harsh, temperature wise, and this spring has been very long and cold, so it seems to be winter hardy in a northern garden.
