Hi Renee, and welcome to Garden.org We really need to know where you are to make a guess on the ID of that plant. Your location (city, state, country?) will narrow the possibilities a lot. Just go to your personal profile and fill that in - it's the little person icon in the blue sidebar to the left.
If you could also give us a little more info on the plant other than the seed pod - a picture of the whole plant would be tremendously helpful. Leaves, plant size, location in sun or shade, etc. all will help figure out who it is.
