When repotting, do not use Miracle Grow peat moss or perlite. Both have additives (plant food) that is harmful to sarracenias. I buy the big blocked peat moss from Home Depot for about $7.00 and Black Gold perlite, mix it 1/1 and repot. I use the sphagnum moss as a soil topper and keep them standing in distilled water. They stay outside year round. They are tough plants and as long as they have water, they can take care of themselves.
