@William for your link. I find those different species mentioned irresistible! Slowly my dappled shade garden is growing from the initial planning stage as real guests of my understory, and ground level friends become available. i'm starting now with E. grandiflorum along with the other group the hardy cyclamens. I do have a few other little guys (bulbs) on my list, plus my other weakness: the shade loving primulas and auriculas. But having so many challenges is part of the joy of gardening!
