Ann, the temps can certainly slow the plants down, but I doubt it will truly "stunt" them. Where I live 50-degree temps at night aren't uncommon for much of the summer... and yet, my plants manage to grow over 6 feet tall (and produce tomatoes, of course -- kind of the whole point of growing them Hilarious! )
