Hi.
We recently bought a home in a wooded area and we have a lot of periwinkle growing on our sloped yard. We also have a lot of moss with some grass shooting up through the moss with woodland flowers. I thought it may be easier to get rid of the periwinkle on the garden path (a tripping hazard) and to encourage moss to grow. I also considered mulch or rock but am concerned about the cost over time to maintain the path (about 50 yards). Would you advise me? Would lyme work to cultivate more moss yet preserve the plantings we have outside the path and the woodland flowers? Thanks very much.
The pictures show a path that begins at the stone steps and ends at the split rail fence line.
