Thanks for that link, Becky. Given that they are organic (and that, hopefully, I won't have to fear for the bee population), I think I may have to try some of those remedies.

I noticed today that 'Polly Wolly Doodle' is also a thrip magnet, with some pretty distorted buds. It's in the same raised bed as 'Magical Indeed' (which has BWW in its background), but separated by a rose and 'Osterized'. (I don't recall 'Osterized', which sits cheek-by-jowl with 'Magical Indeed', having major thrip problems, but it is too early for scapes yet, to make any kind of comparison right now.) It would be interesting to know if BWW were in 'Polly...''s background, but there is no way to tell. The dual thrip magnets may just be a matter of relative proximity... Glare

Thanks for the comments, Boyd. I like yellow and rust resistant daylilies... I just wish that it had a taller scape.
