Love to see your beautiful irises here, folks, as I do plant iris in my daughter's garden in Utah even though they won't grow here in Florida for me.

Arlyn, I do hope the university folks nail down your rot problem for you. I recently tried a new fungicide on the market on my orchids. It's called Actinovate and the UF people here have tested it widely and find it very effective. We have every fungus known to man down here. It's also rated for use on organic produce including fruits so I've tried it on my fig tree that is always beset with rust on the leaves. We'll see how it goes but so far the orchids seem to be free of black rot (both pythium and phytopthora) even though we've had a warm, wet May.
