This seems to be a great project to do with children. I just noticed my dental Soft Pics would make a great picket fence for a fairy garden. Fairy gardens are a good way to help children use their imaginations and think about repurposing and upcycling.

My suggestion would be to collect a lot of small items. If you have a little money give each child a small budget for Goodwill or the Dollar store. No money? Make some twig furniture.

Collect a lot of stuff to work with and you can just sit back and enjoy watching. Or have a three-way competition where everybody wins.

Several years ago a member was making a fairy garden with a little girl and people sent little items from all over the country. It was a lot of fun to watch and a learning experience for the little girl.
