I;m sorry for the photo confusion @Zencat. Those were the only vines nearby. They hang above the unknown vine that doesn't resemble it at all.

Coral Vine, it is! I tip my hat to you. Must have been gifted by a bird? Or? I don't see Coral Vine anywhere in the neighborhood or in the forest. The main flowering vines in the forest are Trumpet Vines, and Dew Berry Vines. I don't have any flowers on it. But I did discover a 2 ft vine to accompany the 4 ft vine I found. I don't see any tendrils. And there are roots that have formed where the vine touched the ground. I suppose it needs support to climb. I do like the look of it and have a wrought iron fence in part sun where it can grow and give us some privacy. How invasive is it? Should I put it in a planter beneath the fence to prevent spreading? Or does it just reseed quickly?
