Last summer I bought a cathedral bell vine to grow on an an old wire lattice gate that I leaned against our 6 foot wood fence. I planted the vine in a large pot, and it grew well and began to bloom after about a week. I was so happy with it. Then the earwigs took over; I never saw another flower on the plant, and the leaves mostly disappeared, too. I went out at night with a flashlight and saw dozens and dozens of earwigs on the vine. I'd like to grow a different vine this summer, but in the same location. Is there a vine that earwigs won't eat?
