Sally, that's awesome! I'm going to try that the next time I'm handed an unhappy baby (which happens more often than you'd think, LOL).

For a baby with tummy trouble (gas), it can also help to hold them horizontally, with their tummy in the palm of your hand and the rest of the baby supported along that same arm, head near the crook of your elbow. With your arm across the front of your body, baby is tucked close for comfort, and that little bit of pressure on their tummy may ease them, especially when you gently bounce them.

And I'm sure they've already tried every combination of bouncing moves, including what seems to be the universal baby bounce move: Step left with a Bounce, add a smaller bounce, then Step right with a Bounce, add a smaller bounce... step or sway, Bounce and bounce, Bounce and bounce, Bounce and bounce. It's a little embarrassing the first time you find yourself doing the Baby Bounce automatically -- and realize you're not holding a baby. *Blush*
