I just bought a sweet cherry tree about a month ago and planted it in the ground. I dug a hole that was 2 times the size of the bucket and 8 inches deeper. ( which is what the directions that came with the plant said to do.) the leaves are getting darker from the inside of the tree toward the outside and now there is a little bit of yellow powder on on the leaves. Some of the leaves are also shriveling up and getting holes.
Things that might help to know:
I mainly used the dirt from the hole I dug to refill the hole after I put the tree in it and this year cicadas are here. They are always on the tree. I filk them off everyday.
