Such a beautiful rose- I have one climbing on a fence in southern exposure. Bloomed this week...
If I were you, I would cut the rose back enough to get behind it and create a sturdy trellis system about a foot from the exterior walls of your home for it to travel. You may want to anchor it discreetly in a few key places where it would minimize puncturing siding to give it stability on top- It could give the same appearance around your window, but will also preserve your siding, and allow for it's maintenance.
