Malaysian Monarch is an early to mid-season bloomer with possible re-bloom. It has earned the following AHS awards: Award of Merit: 1993, Honorable Mention: 1990, and JC: 1987. It shows a 2.0 rust resistance. It is both pod and pollen fertile with 52 registered children:
