Well really, I'm not exactly complaining and the daylilies are sending up scapes all over. I'm past the point where I am surprised by the first scapes and now I couldn't count them. I am now waiting for the first species plants to open and getting myself excited over the first flower on a seedling-that is always a great morning. I spent the afternoon attempting to get an accurate photo of a plant that sometimes gets a second scape after the first scape is as high as the leaves so two scapes are blooming partly at the same time. Taking photos of all green leaves and scapes seems to make a mass of green with no contrasts, plus the mosquitos have started. I am not too pleased with the results but maybe you can see both scapes.
