Thank you. You are all very nice and helpful. Since picking up a stray clump of irises earlier this spring, I've caught something of an iris fever, and have been reading about the different species and their requirements. While I love the spuriae for their colors, the books do make them seem rather demanding. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that they can indeed be grown in the Northeast!
