I've found that Argamycin 17 works much better than bleach, for drying up the bacterial rot......as for PREVENTING it ? Shrug! . My worms don't seem to mind it (the Agramycin) at all.....and they never seem to catch a cold, either Sticking tongue out . A word of caution....the Agramycin ....even though it is listed for use in 'organic farming", is REALLY potent stuff Blinking ! It can cause hearing loss, among other things....so, follow ALL the directions ! By the way, while my worms don't seem to ever get sick....they do say, "Huh ?" a lot.
