I got this one from Greg, and I just had it in my mind that it was going to be this purple iris of some sort. It had it's first bloom this year and I thought I had the wrong iris! Could Claudia really be this crazy plicata? Well, yes, yes she is!

Yes, even in person the lines on the falls look a little out of focus. Big Grin



Last year I ordered a handful of older iris that I had always seen in catalogs but had never ordered. Snowmound last year was a bit of a disappointment so I was going in Crossing Fingers! -ed! This was the first of those to bloom and I love it. The fact that is a Blyth is icing on the cake.

I had hoped this picture would have turned out better. I had Crimson next to Hi There Gorgeous and the color combo was really pretty.
