ID'd as Spiranthes vernalis.

Volunteer plant in AL a few miles from FL border, in sun most of the day, in slowly improving dry, sandy compacted soil reclaimed from former parking spot. Seems like a bulb, very smooth, pliable juicy-feeling stem, minuscule flowers in a spiral at the top. Leafless (currently.) The whole thing is 7-9" tall. TIA!
