Lyn, have you tried lining your large pots with new disposable diapers? I read yesterday that a diaper has a gel like substance in the lining and each one will hold 9 cups of water. I have never tried this as triple digit heat is NEVER a problem for me but I have read of others doing this to reduce the frequency of watering containers. Just a thought.
