I came up with an idea a couple of years ago that maybe some of you might also find useful. I was making plant markers with popsicle sticks & indelible marker, but the wood began to rot after a few waterings. So, I took an empty bleach bottle, cut out the center section ( straight-sided part ) then cut strips from it , rounded one end with scissors just for attractiveness, cut a point in the other end……voila, great plant markers & indelible marker stays readable all season. You're recycling, re-purposing and getting a whole bunch of plant markers for basically no cost.
