My major dissapointment has been Dragonfly Dawn. But not entirely it's own fault!
I purchased it 3 years ago in the early summer, and in the following late winter, a squirrel decided to bury a nut where it as planted and tore it apart. ( My neighbor feeds the squirrels all winter) I dug up what was left and the crown was damaged. I wanted to lace the peanut with arsenic lol. I replanted it in the same place, and babied it all year. After replanting I contacted the seller ( a friend of mine) and explained what had happened. She said to give it a few months and see if it regrows, or she will send a replacement Smiling It didn't start growing ( a miracle) until Early fall! Then I was freaking out that if we had an early winter or very cold suddenly, I would lose it, it ended up being a mild winter. I had already received the replacement in the Late spring.
The next year it didn't increase at all, it also didn't bloom. This year it has another fan, and it better bloom, no scapes yet.
The replacement had an increase of one fan in 2 years , also no scapes...... yet. I am crossing everything.

UPDATE: it finally bloomed for me in 2017... so, previously I had been babying the crap out of it, and had to wait another year for it, it blooms. Here's the kicker.............

It's not Dragonfly Dawn...........
Its Michael Miller. LMAO!!! As previously mentioned, the seller did replace it with Dragonfly Dawn the previous year after the squirrel ruined it.That one bloomed and it is Dragonfly Dawn Smiling
A True gardener will purchase a thousand plants before thinking of where to put them :P
