Starting out saying "My name is" makes me feel my addiction is worse than it is
Anyway, here goes:
My name is Valerie and I am a gardening addict. I have been since I was a child. I grew many more irises 25 years ago, but gradually shifted over to perennials that could withstand more shade as the trees on our property got taller and taller. We have since thinned and limbed the pines up, and my irises have appreciated that. Some I haven't seen for years are now blooming again! I had shifted over my collecting to daylilies and hosta, but now that my irises are blooming again, I am again adding to my irises.
My two little garden helpers are in my avatar. They are Schipperkes and love to be where I am and are very curious to see whatever I am doing.
