Gabe, this is a great idea! I am enjoying this forum, but this tells me more about all the knowledgeable people around here!
My name is Barbalee, and I'm an addict...an addict to many things. I'm an addict to irises and daylilies when it comes to flowers. I have lived overseas for many years and have just bought a house in Amarillo, Texas, so that's giving me the itch! Almost no one here grows much in the way of flowers, and I want to change that. I grew up in Ohio, and my mom had glorious iris and daylily beds, so that's where I originally got the virus. I haven't been able to do anything with my itch until now. I joined the forum just this spring and since then have taken on growing 105 different daylilies and just 15 irises. I'm bidding on LA for five more. I'm a single mom of three grown sons and would like to adopt a pet, but it looks like I'll be going back to Afghanistan on a contract job this fall, so that has to wait. Until then, I'm doing my best to build raised beds and transplanting all those flowers into better homes.
