My name is Betsy and I collect any and every flowering plants I can get my hands on...I live almost all my life in Texas. My mom starting growing Asian veggies after she retired; and from the seeds she gave me, I started growing these when my boys were little over 20 years ago to show them how seeds turn into the veggies we eat.
After joining GW and DG- I got addicted to trading seeds and plants (OH, I couldn't get enough of trading!)
I follow Dave to Cubits and then here; I have gained so much knowledge from all the gardeners on all the forums.
I wanted a 'cottage' type garden but it has become a plethora of plants plunked in every space available.
I started with one small bed for veggies but soon had beds all along the back and side fences.
A dear friend gave me some of her blue flag iris which has been in her garden over 50 years, and that is how I got my first iris. Can't believe some of you have 300-400 irises!!!
Some of you have kindly traded with me your irises -- so thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to acquiring more info and irises in the near future.
