Hi Eileen and Welcome! to NGA!

What zone are you in? And what Indigo are you growing? I am growing Japanese Indigo (Persicaria Tinctoria). It is considered a tender annual but I am growing it here in Reno. I started them indoors on April 1 and they are going outside this week. I have never tried Indigo before but I think it will do well as long as the weather stays toasty. Japanese Indigo is hard to germinate; it takes a lot of humidity and heat (on a heat mat with a humidity dome) and time (it took 3 weeks for the first of my seeds to germinate). Also, space. The seedlings are rooting into eachother's cells - should be fun to plant out but I don't think I have enough hands for the project.

My daughter is a Shibori artist so this is all for her. She gave me the seeds and asked if I could grow it. What our children get us into!
