Mine was a summer sale, you know, buy one from this group and get one from that group sort of mumbo jumbo. I fell for it big and ordere six that I really wanted and selected my freebies the same way. A huge box of daylilies from the top of my want list. Big check went out.

About ten days later this huge box appears and what do you know I don't recognize a single Daylily in the box. A quick call gets me a "we will look into it right away." A few days later I get a call "Your daylilies went to Connecticut, here's the address, just send your's on and we will ask him to do the same Grumbling " I sent his on at my expense, he returned his to Florida and they sent my box to me.

It had been boxed up long enough and exposed to summer heat by the time it got to me it looked like the end of a tag team wrestling match between two old bunches of celery.

I planted them, two grew. I called and wrote and got no answer. They must have had caller I.D. Sighing!

Didn't deal with them again. They came to speak at our club and I went up and politely introduced myself carefully stretching the pronunciation of my name to be sure they got it.

Small recompense and water long ago under the bridge.

Charley

(When you get to be my age you need a very large bridge!)
I’d rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.
