I wish I knew whether that variety even comes true from seeds. Or is self-fertile. My guess is that the fastest path will be to ask individuals who "Have" that tree whether they would share or trade some seeds. But no one listed it as "Have", in the plant lists.

Almost all I know about trees is that they create shade (good for people, bad for gardens) and are pretty.

And they totally STARVE anything that grows in the ground in Becky's yard! That whole yard is overshadowed by many huge trees (cedars mostly?) For once, everything grows better in pots than in the ground.

I wonder if there would be any market for a "Roomba" plant platform. You could put a plant on top of it, on your deck, in a sunny spot. As the sunny spot moved each day, the "Roomba" would move slowly to follow the sun. Maybe put the photo-sensors in the foliage of the plants.
