I think this is Buttonbush Cephalanthus occidentalis. The individual flowers are white but turn brown/reddish brown. If you look at the enlargement you can see a couple of white blooms in it. The leaves visible in the enlargement look like Cephalanthus also. I think the photo the OP used came from this site. It list Gomphrena Fireworks, but does not identify this particular photo as fireworks flower.
